Why Airbus is More Successful than Boeing

Why Airbus is More Successful than Boeing

Airbus is a company that makes aeroplanes and is doing well compared to another company called Boeing. There are some really good reasons for this.

One big reason is that Airbus makes more money than Boeing. It means they have more extra money left over after paying for everything. On the other hand, Boeing is having some problems and is making less money than Airbus. One part of Boeing that makes things for the military is losing a lot of money, and it looks like this might not change anytime soon.

Airbus and Boeing: A Look at Facts and Figures

According to Statista, the big world of aerospace services is worth over three trillion U.S. dollars. That’s a lot of money! Some important countries for this are the United States, France, Germany, and the U.K. Two of the biggest companies that make aeroplanes and defence equipment are Boeing and Airbus. They drive around 62.3 billion U.S. dollars and 52.1 billion euros. That’s a huge amount of money! Companies like Bombardier, Embraer, and the Commercial Aircraft Corporation of China (Comac) also want to be in this business.

Even though both Airbus and Boeing make similar aeroplanes, Boeing planes have something special that pilots really like. They say that Boeing planes are easier to control, and they don’t have to rely on computers as much. It makes pilots feel like they’re good at flying.

Why Airbus is More Successful than Boeing

How Airbus and Boeing Started

Airbus Group is like Europe’s answer to Boeing. A long time ago, in the mid-1990s, many European companies that make planes and defence stuff, like DaimlerChrysler Aerospace and Aérospatiale-Matra, wanted to work together. They thought it would be better to become one big company. So, in July 2000, they joined and formed a new company called the European Aeronautic Defence and Space Company (EADS). After 14 years, EADS changed its name to Airbus Group and started to work on planes, spacecraft, and helicopters.

On the other hand, Boeing was founded way back in 1916 by William E. Boeing in Seattle, Washington. He liked working with wood, so he made wooden structures and became interested in making aeroplanes. Seattle had lots of spruce wood, so that’s where he started making planes.
