What You’ll Be Doing
As a Technical Writer, your role will involve authoring and maintaining various documentation types crucial for the organization’s smooth functioning. From manuals and bulletins to checklists and alerts, your work will adhere strictly to FAA regulations, Company guidelines, and industry safety standards.
Your Responsibilities Will Include:
- Creating Clear Documentation: You’ll author technical documents using structured content management systems, ensuring compliance with records retention policies and United’s high standards.
- Collaborating for Consistency: Working alongside content owners, you’ll standardize content formats and offer support for publication, ensuring consistency and quality across the board.
- Illustrating Technical Content: You’ll not only write but also maintain illustrations used in technical documentation, enhancing the clarity and accessibility of information.
- Ensuring Approval and Compliance: Your role will involve presenting content for stakeholder review, obtaining necessary approvals from FAA and division stakeholders, and performing audits to ensure compliance.
- Coordination for Congruence: Coordinating with other divisions, you’ll ensure that policies and procedures align seamlessly across the board.
- Facilitating Document Release: Your work will involve releasing approved technical documentation across various electronic platforms, making critical information accessible.
What You Need
For this role, you’ll need:
- Experience and Skills: With at least 2 years in technical writing and documentation management, your strong communication and organizational skills will be crucial.
- Attention to Detail: Your ability to present complex data in simple, concise text while maintaining accuracy will be vital.
- Adaptability: Being open to learning new technologies and systems is essential in this ever-evolving field.
- Legal Authorization: You must be legally authorized to work in India without the need for sponsorship and have fluency in written and spoken English.
Preferred Qualifications
