Banjul, often referred to as “The Smiling Coast of Africa”, is one of West Africa’s emerging tourism destinations, known for its Atlantic coastline, cultural heritage and growing appeal among regional and international travellers.

Speaking on the expansion, Managing Director of ValueJet, Omololu Majekodunmi, said the airline’s regional strategy is focused on improving accessibility and strengthening links between West African markets.

“Our services are shaping up as a strategic bridge, linking people, markets and opportunities across West Africa” he said

He noted that stronger air connectivity remains critical to facilitating business, tourism and cultural exchange across the region.

The Accra-Banjul route marks another step in ValueJet’s regional growth plans as the airline continues to expand connections across West Africa and improve access between major commercial and cultural hubs.
